The Rotary Club of Boulder undertake many projects throughout the year. For more information, click on any of the following project links.
Online Radio Auction
Our biggest fundraiser for the year. In years gone by, this was all done live on air with Radio West. As times change,
All funds are kept local and are distributed to our Auction Beneficiaries through an application process.
Thought the years, the Auction has raised over $2 Million dollars for local community groups and organisations, and in 2018 we start our journey towards $3 Million.
Funded by the members of our club themselves, this project provides medicine to kids very poor villages in Bali. Several of our members also sponsor children through primary school. In August, a group of our members travel to Bali to visit the school and the children to assist with "Distribution Day" which is a carnival like setup, where the school kids receive their school packs for the year and can see doctors, dentists and other medical practitioners for maybe the only time during the year.
Community Defibrillator Project
A new project to the club this year, The Rotary Club of Boulder is assisting Sj John Ambulance with the support of the City of Kalgoorlie Boulder to provide critical defibrillators around the Goldfields. For $2000 we can have one installed in your business, or donated to a place of need. These will be accessible by the public.
Christmas Stocking Raffle
One of the more popular raffles in the Goldfields. Each year in the lead up to Christmas, the Club conducts a raffle for a stocking of Toys/Gifts. This is very well supported by the local community and sells out almost every year.
Look for us outside K-Mart most Saturday's after October. All funds go to our community account and once again, stay local.
Each year, as a beneficiary of the Radio Auction, each of the local High Schools are awarded Scholarships. the Schools are asked to submit candidates who are then interviewed and one Scholarship per School is awarded.
