Rotary International Presidential Message 2026 - 2027

The 2026 – 2027 Rotary International President is Olayinka Hakeem Babalola, a member of the Rotary Club of Trans Amadi in Rivers State, Nigeria.

 

 

 

President Babalola’s theme for the Rotary Year is “Create Lasting Impact.”

 

 

The 2026-27 Rotary International presidential message — “Create Lasting Impact” — is a call for members to go beyond short-term change and focus on sustainable, enduring results in their communities and globally.

 

 

 

President Babalola emphasized that while Rotary often talks about “changing the world” through projects like ending polio or building peace, it’s equally important to recognize how Rotary transforms its members personally.

President Babalola defined impact as what endures — not just temporary change — and urged members to:

• Make clubs more welcoming to new members and the public.

• Carry out impactful projects that address root causes and create long-term benefits.

• Allow Rotary experiences to transform them personally, fostering empathy, leadership, and service skills.

 

This theme builds on the 2025-26 message “Unite for Good”, which strengthened member connections. “Create Lasting Impact” now focuses on leveraging those connections to inspire collective action that produces sustainable difference — locally, nationally, and globally.
